Much of this coffee comes from some of the poorest regions of our planet, where people live in extreme poverty and where missionaries are toiling daily to spread the gospel. Nicaragua is the largest country in central america. It has a population of about 5.5 million people, half of which are children or youth. Nicaragua suffers from extreme poverty. 45% of its people live on the equivalent of less than $1.00 per day.
